The Year 7 team represented the school brilliantly at the City Super 8's Athletics Competition, finishing an impressive 6th out of 14 schools. Throughout the event, students demonstrated excellent effort, determination, and resilience across all disciplines. From track sprints to field events, every competitor gave their best and supported one another, creating a strong sense of team spirit. What stood out most was the positive attitude shown by the group. Pupils approached each event with enthusiasm and focus, regardless of the challenge, and displayed great sportsmanship towards both teammates and other schools. Their willingness to step outside their comfort zones and contribute to the team's overall success was particularly commendable. Competing against strong opposition, finishing in the top half was a fantastic achievement. The experience will no doubt build confidence and motivation for future competitions. Well done to all involved! #ThistleyHoughAcademy #CreativeEducationTrust

The cricket students put in a spirited performance but narrowly lost to a strong Blythe Bridge team in a closely contested match. Despite the result, the team showed great determination and resilience throughout, competing well against a disciplined and experienced opposition. A standout performance came from Elliot Turner, who delivered an excellent innings with the bat, scoring a well-earned 50. His composure at the crease and ability to find the boundary under pressure were key highlights of the match. It was a fantastic achievement and a testament to his hard work and growing confidence. The rest of the team supported well, contributing in both batting and fielding, and working hard to stay in the game until the final stages. Although they fell just short, the performance showed clear progress and plenty of positives to build on moving forward. #ThistleyHoughAcademy #CreativeEducationTrust
