Year 11 2024 Results

We are very proud to be the best non-selective school in Stoke-on-Trent (based on 2024 results). The official Thistley Hough data page from the DfE can be found here. If you would like to compare our results nationally, please use the Compare School Performance Service.

The data below shows the validated results issued in February 2025 for students who completed Key Stage 4 in the summer of 2024. For more information on how the government calculates performance measures, please see the KS4 technical guide.

Our 2024 results saw our Progress improve to 0.23 putting us in the “Above Average” category. We also saw an 8% increase in students achieving a Grade 5 or higher in English and Maths compared with 2023 outcomes.

Our maths progress was the best in the city.

At Thistley Hough our students did particularly well in English, Maths, Triple Science and Religious Studies, in addition to improvements in Health and Social Care, Languages and Sport.

As stated on the government website:

“School performance data should be considered alongside a range of other information about the school, which could include looking at school websites, reading Ofsted reports, and speaking to the school directly. Conclusions should not be drawn on a single piece of data alone"
